RPL Process

Your journey to recognition starts here. Follow the steps below.

Step 1 of 4

Start by creating your account and submitting your biodata, including skills possessed. Once completed, you'll receive an Expression of Interest (EOI) form via email. After verification, a TENP RPL account is created and login credentials are emailed to you. From there, a member of the RPL team will reach out to formally begin your journey.

You'll be scheduled for one-on-one counselling with a qualified RPL advisor. This session helps clarify your career goals, qualification pathway, and readiness. You'll get advice on which documents to prepare, what evidence counts, and how your skills align with national standards.

Submit your Portfolio of Evidence (POE), including certificates, employer references, work samples, photos/videos, and any informal learning records. Assessors review your portfolio to determine if it meets the required standards. You may be asked to revise or add items before proceeding.

If your POE is approved, you'll move to the competency assessment phase. This may include on-site or remote demonstration of skills, oral interviews, or simulated tasks depending on the qualification level. Assessment gauges your ability to perform tasks safely, accurately, and confidently.

If you're found competent through assessment, TENP will award an official certificate based on your level of demonstrated skills: 🟢 Full Award – You met all qualification requirements. This grants complete competency across mapped units, officially recognized for employment and academic progression. 🟡 Partial Recognition – You’ve shown competency in several units, but not all. You're awarded for those areas, with the option to resubmit evidence or undergo further assessment later. 🧩 Micro-Credential – You've mastered a specific skill, task, or competency cluster. Ideal for niche roles and skill-specific certification. These stack over time toward a full award. 📝 Your credential type appears on your dashboard and may be shared with employers, institutions, and certification boards—showcasing your validated expertise and progress on your RPL journey.
